Aquatic Control Engineering Ltd has two quality brands of tree/hedge cutters within the range of waterway maintenance equipment to improve safety and output enormously. The Habbig and the Berkenheger range, both prevent the use of chainsaws at height to remove overhanging branches and awkward watercourse locations which are high risk for health and safety practice. Both machines can be mounted to an excavator, the Berkenheger could also be mounted to an hydraulic arm fitted to a tractor which allow ease of access to maintained locations

Berkenheger 5800 & 5810
These cutters are ideal for cutting back in general. A reciprocating knife of 18 mm thickness cuts branches up to 90 mm over a width of 1.50 m or 220 m for the wider type and 160 mm thick branches will be cut with the Berkenheger 5810. The machine leaves a very clean and tidy cut to minimise the damage to the trees.
As the branches are cut gently no flying debris could cause any harm to other persons or objects. These implements can also be equipped with hydraulic operated swivels which makes the operation so much more efficient because of the ease of operation.

Habbig Tree Cutters - Hydraulic Excavator Mounted Grip Cutters
ACE have supplied over 100 Habbig tree cutters in the UK, with a variety of models to cut trees up to 380mm in diameter. The Habbig machine can be swiveled to any angle to get the optimum cutting position, allowing branches to be selectively pruned. As the cutters engage, a set of gripper arms support and hold the tree, this allows the cut material to be where required for disposal. The Habbig leaves a clean cut and prevents risks such as falling objects, working at height, chainsaw work, manual handling and vibration to hands and arms.
Berkenheger Tree Cutters - Hydraulic Tractor Mounted Hedge Cutters
The Berkenheger tree cutters are ideal for efficiently trimming mixed species hedging, allowing up to 2.2m of hedge to be cut in a single motion, at a wide variety of angles. The tree cutters can cleanly remove branches up to 160mm in diameter using a smooth, quiet hydraulic cutting action. As well as cutting efficiently, this method of cutting is very safe as there is no flying debris, it is far quieter and leaves a much cleaner cut promoting healthier re-growth.
