At Aquatic Control Engineering Ltd. we take great pride in the standard of our work from dealing with an enquiry right through to the commissioning of the equipment on site and handing it over to the customer. Thetford Sluice Modular Fish and Elver Pass. Thetford town features a large level control sluice gate. ACE supplied and fitted a fish and elver pass. The pass was incroporated into an original channel used for canoe portage. |

ACE has consulted closely with Halcrow and the EA to provide an alternative solution to the original specification for these two pumping stations. Instead of flapvalves the pumping stations have had WaStop Non return valves installed. |

Babingley brook is a tidal flood defence in Norfolk consisting of three 600kg steel non return valves and three penstocks. The non-return valves severely impede fish passage. ACE fitted two fish firendy flapvalves at the site. |

With the massive decline in the eel population over the last 20 years. Barriers to inland migration are now being opened up. ACE worked on a solution for the South Cumbria Rivers Trust at these two sites. |

Welches dam has four pumps set in two sumps which are not fish friendly, a solution was required to prevent fish from entering the sumps and passing through the pumps which would cause fish mortality. |
