Financial Administrator (Project and Costing)
Full time, permanent (40hours per week)
Based at ACE HQ, Rampton, NR Retford
Aquatic Control Engineering (ACE) are recruiting for a Finance Administrator to support the business, ensuring accurate records, data entry and reporting across a range of financial areas.
Aquatic Control Engineering are a family run organisation and a leader within their sector, supplying turnkey mechanical and electrical solutions for water management, flood defence and environmental services. Aquatic Control Engineering provide Design, Manufacture, Supply and Installation services.

The Financial Administrator will assist across departments including estimation, project delivery, production and operations.
Main responsibilities:
A key focus of the role will be to ensure systems are accurate, data and records are updated promptly and any issued can be identified and remedied within the team internally. They will work with the Managing Director and wider team building on the information available to help day to day financial understanding within the business.
Key areas identified within the Financial Administrator’s responsibilities but not limited to:
- Ensure Statuses across Invoices and Bills (financial records) are kept up to date (Paid/Issued/Received etc.) based on Accounts reports (via Zoho CRM system)
- Input data on production and installation labour costs
- Filter unassigned cost and associate to projects, productions, installations etc.
- Maintain forecast based on upcoming payments for Euro currency requirements
- Review sales and update costs between ACE/AQUIKO accounts (Production costs) including monthly summaries/statements
- Review Invoice Schedules (Sales & Purchase) follow up outstanding and update expected dates
- Assist with ensuring full cost capture from budget through to realised cost
- Assist with budget preparation and monitoring across key areas
- Monitor internal financial controls
- Assist external Accounts department with day-to-day internal business queries
- Support financial reporting and forecasting requirements
- Support month end and year end close out procedures (WIP, Closing Accounts, Stock Balance)
- Support Project close out procedures, review and close finance tasks/data actions
- Review Supplier payments for anomalies, check and control against orders placed.
- Assist QS with cost/value change reporting via Zoho
- Monitor financial controls on a monthly basis helping form reports on key metrics.

- Ability to coordinate and cross reference
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks at once
- Strong time management skills, working efficiently
- Must be comfortable working independently and within a wider team, ability to interact with all functions of the organisation
- Ability to maintain digital files, being proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Previous financial administrative experience
- They must have a friendly and approachable manner with clear written and verbal communication
Desirable Requirements – Full training will be given to the successful candidate:
Experience of working within manufacturing or engineering industry
Experience with cost allocation and project based financial administration
