ACE up-cycling of surplus to aid local community

Although ACE continually work to reduce our waste output, some surplus material is inevitable- whether it be packaging or even off-cuts, we are always looking for ways to reduce or at least re-use any materials we have left over. ACE have recently carried out work at the local Primary School, with developments to assist with Health and Safety, and also providing play equipment for the early years and foundation playground. ACE provided handrail materials for a fire exit, and to aid with “adventure” style play, helped to build up-cycled play equipment such as a mud-kitchen, ball games, musical instruments, play-shops, a gravel beach and traffic lights, all made from items such as pallets, off-cuts of pipe and scaffolding boards. ACE also liaised with local businesses to obtain some materials free of charge- the work carried out saved the school in the region of £5000!
