Aquatic Control Engineering (ACE) Ltd are recruiting for a Site Operative with experience in mechanical fitting, to join the busy Operations Installations team.
Aquatic Control Engineering are a leader within their sector, supplying turnkey mechanical and electrical solutions for water management, flood defence and environmental services. The Company’s focus lies within water control products (valves, pumps, sluice gates) fish friendly land drainage pumps and fish migration solutions. With both Quality and Environmental solutions, ACE has gained an exceptional reputation over its 25 years within the industry.
This role includes working as part of the Operations team at different site locations across the UK and Ireland. The role will assist in assembling items in house to be delivered and installed on site, using the correct tools and equipment.
It is desirable the candidate will have 1-2 years’ experience working within the utilities or construction industry, adhering to Health and Safety requirements, regulations and policy with a mechanical fitting key skills.
This role includes working away from home and travel Monday – Friday, therefore must be flexible to work across the UK and Ireland, whilst also maintain a professional work ethic representing Aquatic Control Engineering.

 

The job role will require the Mechanical Site Operative to:

  • Mechanical engineering, installation site works
  • Assembly of ACE products ready for shipment / installation
  • Physical demands such as loading and unloading goods from vehicles, stacking of goods into storage bays and site working conditions

 

Essential Requirements & Key Skills:

  • Mechanical Fitting
  • Understanding of working to health and safety requirements
  • Experience of working within a team
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work away from home Monday – Friday
  • Full UK driving licence

 

Desirable Requirements of specific Health and Safety related qualifications

  • CSCS Yellow Operative card

It is desirable to have further operative and H&S qualifications such as PUWER, MEWP, Forklift, CDM regulations however not a necessity.
