Site Operative

This role includes working away from home and travel Monday – Friday, therefore must be flexible to work across the UK and Ireland, whilst also maintain a professional work ethic representing Aquatic Control Engineering.

Job Role, duties and responsibilities:

  • Mechanical engineering, installation site works
  • Working with hand tools and equipment to complete site works
  • Working to risk assessment method statements with site supervisor
  • Physical demands such as loading and unloading goods from vehicles, stacking of goods into storage bays and site working conditions

Assembly Fitter

This role will be based in the assembly hall, building a wide range of water flow control products. ACE specialise in bespoke products and as such, the projects are extremely varied.

Job Role, duties and responsibilities:

  • Mechanical assembly as per drawings
  • Use of lifting equipment/measuring equipment as well as usual workshop power and hand tools.
  • Preparing completed products for dispatch
  • Checking parts for fit and finish
  • Maintaining a tidy and safe work environment

Apprentice Engineering Operative, Level 3

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated Apprentice Engineering Operative to join the busy Operations team and to complete the Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship standard. Based at ACE HQ and Potential UK Site visits.

Job Role, duties and responsibilities:

  • Assembly of ACE products ready for shipment / installation, liaising with the project engineers and ACE team; ensuring all assemblies are completed to the highest possible standard
  • Use of lifting equipment/measuring equipment as well as usual workshop power and hand tools.
  • Operating stud welding and plastic welding equipment
  • Reading engineering drawings (digital & paper) and instructions to plan and execute tasks daily
  • Working to safe systems of work within the warehouse at all times

Commercial

Quantity Surveyor (Junior Commercial role)

ACE are looking for a new role to join the company; Quantity Surveyor. They will work with the Managing Director (MD) to set overall commercial risk allowance and criteria for sign off.

Job Role, duties and responsibilities:

  • Review Contracts to assist sales and prepare/carry out negotiations with both customers and suppliers to keep risk balanced and “back to back” wherever possible
  • Working with MD to set overall commercial risk allowance and criteria for sign off. Being a point of reference on terms and requirements throughout delivery of live contracts
  • Support Projects Department throughout the delivery of live projects ensuring all contractual obligations are achieved – Including issuance of programmes (compiled with and by others), Payment applications, early warnings, compensation event notices, collate and settle final accounts and initial dispute mitigation/resolution
  • Assist Technical Director and Operations Manager, with ensuring internal pressure to stick to project financial and program plans pushing to hold all including customers to the initial planning wherever possible (ensuring costs are covered when this is not possible)
